Course will cover how to resuscitate an
infant and/or child. Inclues injury prevention information. It is
recommended that both infant and child CPR and FBAO techniques be taught
because students may not readily return to a CPR course, and the infant
quickly becomes a child. Infants are considered to be anyone less than 1
year old; children are age 1-8. A strong emphasis is being placed on
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED's), and the benefits of greater
placement and use of these devices. |
